BRAVO ROCKY GIRL !!!!
Very inspirational. Now I encourage you to work part-time and rejoin the pioneer ranks.
as some of you know, i started college 5 years ago for the first time at age 27. i had been out of the "truth" for 9 years at that time, but had just broken free of the mentality.
well, on saturday i walked across the stage with the 130th graduating class at rocky mountain college!.
after 5 years of working several jobs, taking care of two little boys as a single mom, and trying to get the most out of my college experience, i earned my master of accountancy, bachelor of science in business management, and minors in writing and organizational leadership.

It never dawns on witnesses that many of their illlnesses result from living a life of perpetual disappointment. They are thoroughly trained to deny their feelings and thoughts. It is impossible to maintain health when the mind, body and soul are not on the same page.
So very sad.
there will be a revised version of the greatest man book at this year's circuit assemblies.
i managed to get a scan of the first pages:.

I would say the writer of this book understand the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses very well.
LOL
on jwn the lurkers will discover many truths about the watchtower society and how they handle matters that relate to your current imbalanced spiritual state.. if you think your letter you are going to send to the watchtower society is going to do any good, wrong!
i know of only one case where some type of justice was received from the watchtower society, why was justice received?
the woman who wrote the letter had been a very special pioneer, her letter was recieved and action took place.
A sister was having troubles with her deadbeat husband years ago. The elders weren't taking her seriously and blamed her for most of their marital problems. She wrote headquarters and was so giddy for a response. She just knew that was gonna light a fire under the elders' asses and make them get her husband in line. She was so disappointed and bitter when their response was to continue putting on the new personality and wait on Jehovah. They also sent copies of the letter to her boe and the co. She continued serving Jah faithfully in a new congregation.
Waiting for an appropriate response from WT is like waiting for one from God.

how in the world do you embed videos on this site?.
Sooner,
You can get up if you need to. It's just like a meeting at the KH. You can be late, leave early, make a bathroom run. Depending on your table head though, you might not want to do that too often. Or you'll get counseled for not appreciating the spiritual food provided.
Most just sit there and suck it up. It only lasts about 15-20 minutes or so, depending on announcements.
i know that certian times when leaving the jw's one experiences a crisis of meaning and purpose.
i know i did and i am in a sense still getting over it.but i am doing much better.. tell me some of your stories about an existential crisis..
It was a huge blow to my outlook on life and the world when I dropped all things JW. The thoughts and feelings involved in being special are pretty addictive. Without that, I felt really blah for a while. I shared with my husband my feelings (wondering if he had them too. He didn't).
He said, "The problem is that it's hard to compete with everlasting life." That gave me perspective. Sometimes I still work on bringing myself back to now and appreciating that. It's worth it considering the alternative of staying on fantasy island.
Good thread title. I hope more share.

Hi Michelle,
Welcome! I know you find so much love and comfort in your life with your children. Big families are so much fun! Writing to your mom is tricky. If she hasn't reached out to you all of these years, her response, or lack of response, could be painful.
If you think you can handle it either way, I say go for it. Especially if it will help you move forward in your heart.
i'm usually clothed, fed, and out the door to work before my roommate even comes out of her room in the morning.
she informed me after work yesterday that she opened the cereal cabinet and found the milk carton sitting there.. .
"ooops!
StillThinking - LOL. That's the scary part, having the senior moments and not knowing it.
